Essential Oil Combos

I know that you most likely already have your favorite essential oil blend, but if you’re like me, sometimes you want to switch it up! So, I thought I would put together a little blog of the few combos that I have tried and loved.

It’s safe to say we all have our unique preference in scents. For instance, my mom tends to gravitate towards fruity scents, and I tend to like more musk/richer scents. Have you considered what you gravitate towards? Here’s a list of scents people tend to like: Clean/Fresh, Fruity, Floral, Musk (Richer Smell like Men’s Cologne). Even if you gravitate towards one category, you may find that certain combinations can make you like another. Which leads me to my newest combo I have been loving!

Rosemary & Grapefruit

Sounds like a weird combination, but it plays well into the fruity category, while being tamed down by the rosemary scent! Prior to loving this combo, I was constantly using:

Lavender & Tea Tree Oil

I loved the calming smell of lavender (although it’s a floral, it isn’t too powdery of one). I also enjoyed the benefit of diffusing Tea Tree, which has anti-microbial properties. This was a great combo during the stuffy winter months, when I was constantly trying to ward off illness in our home.

Lastly, I also like just a straight citrus, such as orange! This one can be a little strong, so I don’t diffuse it for long. It does make my house smell like it’s been freshly cleaned though:)

What scents have you tried and loved? I would love to hear your combos, if you wouldn’t mind posting in the comments below!

  1. I tend to gravitate towards clean scents! I’ve been seeing suggestions for grapefruit a few times now but have not tried it yet. I tend to always use lavender or peppermint and have been wanting to switch it up so I’ll definitely be trying these soon!
